The BDE course is a Ministry of Transportation (MTO) approved program for new drivers in Ontario. It includes 20 hours of in-classroom instruction, 10 hours of homework, and 10 hours of in-car lessons. Completing an MTO-approved BDE course lets you take your G2 road test 8 months after receiving your G1, instead of the standard 12 months, and typically qualifies you for an insurance discount through your provider.
Both are the same MTO-approved BDE curriculum -- 20 hours classroom instruction + 10 hours homework + 10 hours in-car lessons -- with the same G2 timeline and insurance discount eligibility. The In-Class course is delivered in person on scheduled weekend or weekday dates (subject to school breaks). The Online course covers the same 20 classroom hours virtually, so you can learn at your own pace from home, with the same 10 hours of homework and 10 hours of in-car lessons.
In-Class BDE packages: BLUE RIBBON $649.99, SILVER $835, BRONZE $895, GOLD $985. Online BDE packages: BLUE RIBBON $604.99, BRONZE $845, SILVER $885, GOLD $935. We also offer Private Lessons and Road Test packages for students who are not enrolled in the full BDE program: Road Test (RT, 2hrs vehicle use) $410, Private Lesson Option 1 (1-4hrs) $245, Option 2 (5hrs + RT practice) $630, and Option 3 (10hrs + RT practice) $905. All prices are in CAD.
Yes. All non-BDE registered students must complete a 2-hour lesson before using our vehicle for their road test, for insurance and safety purposes. This is covered by our Road Test (RT) package.
You can sign up online through the course page for whichever package fits your needs (In-Class, Online, or Private Lessons/Road Test) and pay securely through PayPal, or contact us directly to arrange payment. In-car lessons only begin once full payment for the course has been received and processed.
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel a scheduled lesson. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in a $50 per hour cancellation fee, payable to the instructor.
All online modules, homework assignments, and in-car lessons must be completed within 365 days (one year) of registration. This is an MTO requirement and cannot be waived -- failure to complete the course within that timeframe will require re-enrollment and repayment of the course fee.
Once the online course access link has been issued or sent to the student, no refunds will be granted under any circumstances. Registration fees become non-refundable immediately upon course activation.
You must carry your valid physical Driver's Licence card during all in-car lessons. Paper copies, temporary documents, photocopies, or electronic versions will not be accepted.
All in-car lessons take place within the city limits selected at the time of registration. Pick-up and drop-off outside city boundaries is only permitted if prior arrangements have been made and confirmed with the instructor.
We serve Amherstburg, Cottam, Essex, Harrow, Kingsville, LaSalle, Leamington, and Windsor.
Yes. During winter months, lessons proceed weather permitting, as the safety of our students and instructors is always our first priority. We also request that road tests be booked in Windsor rather than Chatham during that time.
Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm. Saturday: 10am-5pm. Sunday: 12pm-5pm. Our head office is in Windsor, but we are always available to answer questions via email, phone, or text. Since our instructors are frequently on the road training, please call ahead before visiting the office.
Students assume full responsibility for any traffic violations, fines, penalties, or demerit points issued during in-car instruction, including while using the instructor's vehicle for a road test.
